Who We Are

About Titan K-9 Training

Meet Juan, a native Southern Californian who has called the East Valley of Arizona home since 2008. With a deep-rooted background in K-9 training, Juan inherits his passion from his father, a seasoned behavior modification trainer, with over 50 years of experience, within the US military and local law enforcement.

Driven by the belief that every dog deserves the chance to thrive in a safe and harmonious home, Juan specializes in behavior modification training for the entire household. His commitment extends to dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages, reflecting his dedication to fostering positive canine-human relationships.

Beyond the training realm, Juan’s compassionate spirit extends to rehabilitating dogs from the euthanasia list, ensuring they find their forever homes. His pride lies in establishing strong connections and effective communication with both his human and furry clients.

Juan is a passionate advocate for bully breeds, owning and cherishing his own beloved bullies. Beyond his professional expertise, his personal connection with these breeds fuels his mission to break stereotypes and promote responsible ownership. With Juan, you’ll find a compassionate individual who goes beyond training sessions, striving to create a world where every dog can flourish in a loving and understanding environment.

In addition to his training services, Juan also offers top-notch dog sitting services, ensuring your furry friends receive the utmost care and attention. With Juan, you encounter more than just a trainer – he’s a compassionate individual striving to create a world where every dog thrives in a loving and understanding environment.

Certifications

Certified American Kennel Club - Canine Good Citizen Training Facility

The Canine Good Citizen program was formally introduced by the American Kennel Club in 1989. Since it’s inception, close to one million dogs have taken part in the CGC behavioral program both as a precursor to more advanced programs and as a behavioral training opportunity.

The skills that your dog will learn in the Canine Good Citizen program are designed to teach them how to behave in a socially acceptable way which is why the program is often referred to as a “class in good manners” for dogs.

In Loving Memory - Titan

He truly was a unique and exceptional water dog, a canine Houdini who could effortlessly escape any kennel or playpen. As Juan’s initial training project, Titan not only showcased his remarkable abilities but also further ignited Juan’s passion for K-9 behavioral training, ultimately inspiring him to establish his own successful business.

Titan's Brother - Rocco

Rocco, Titan’s brother from another mother, joined our family just two months after Titan’s birth. With only a two-month age difference, they became inseparable and the best of friends. Wherever one went, the other was sure to follow. Rocco held a special place in Juan’s heart and played a transformative role in changing Juan’s perception of the bully breed. Despite Juan’s initial hesitation due to a past encounter, Rocco turned things around, becoming an advocate for the breed. Now, Juan passionately champions for bullies every single day.
